Q Division Studios

Recording Studio Claim this listing

For over 30 years Q Division Recording Studios have been home to Boston area bands and musicians. Located in Davis Square, Somerville, we’re just minutes away from Boston, walking distance to Cambridge, and a quick jog to Medford, Arlington, and other areas.

We have two unique recording spaces, an incredible and dedicated staff, and a collection of sweet gear and toys, both vintage and modern. Q Division’s recording studios have state of the art Pro Tools rigs (HDX!), AND fantastic old school analog mixing consoles (NEVE!) and tape machines (STUDER!). Studio A’s live room is expansive, and can comfortably fit a really big band for live tracking in comfort and style. Read more about our facilities in our our Studios section.

  • From the Q office. We want all of your questions about how to make your next record rock.
  • Adam from @stompboxsonic stopped by to share, and turn us on to, some nifty pedals. We're auditioning a Maxon compressor, the Mr. Black Big Payback (another compressor), a lovely Maxon chorus, a tripped out glitchy delay from @catalinbread called Discman and an equally insane box called a Bicycle delay... Fun stuff!
  • Rocking the Studer in Studio A today. 15 IPS of rock goodness with @bwcarpenter and the Confessions!
