Driven by a strong DIY sprit and organic approach to song writing Let’s Wait has quickly established itself as one of the most dynamic and eclectic acts in the Boston electronic music scene.

From humble beginnings in a Somerville loft, the group came together in 2013 to create catchy, unique electronic compositions that felt spontaneous and performance based. Emphasis was placed on textural synthesizer arrangements and expressive electronic drums that were playfully reminiscent of 1980s era synth-pop, new wave and post disco.

2014 saw the release of Let’s Wait’s debut recording “Hiding in Your Fantasy”, a six song effort which was entirely self-produced and engineered in the group’s home studios. The end result was a strikingly organic collection of pop songs that strived to tell a complex story with its intensely personal lyric content and sonic diversity. This aesthetic is clearly demonstrated in the song “Shadows”, a driving, 5 minute new wave pop epic which was listed among Vanyaland’s top 10 electronic pop songs of 2014 and the Boston Herald’s Top 215 songs of 2015.

Let’s Wait wrapped up 2015 with the release of a highly anticipated remix record and also garnered a Boston Music Award nomination for Electronic Artist of the Year. The group continues to expand its sonic palette and cover new ground while strengthening the local music scene thru various creative collaborations with other Boston bands.
